Natalie Sulimani is the founder and principal of Sulimani Law Firm, PC and an executive committee member of the New York County Lawyers’ Association (NYCLA)’s Cyberspace Law Committee. She is engaged in a wide variety of intellectual property, technology and general corporate matters with a strong focus on small businesses and entrepreneurs. She has represented both domestic and international clients in an array of industries, including internet and new media, entertainment, jewelry, consulting and the arts.

Natalie started her legal career in commercial litigation at one of the top international law firms located in New York City. With this invaluable experience, she then served as in-house counsel at a start-up jewelry company. This company introduced non-conflict Canadian diamonds to the American market. She oversaw the many foreign concerns in the jewelry industry and fully realized the importance of intellectual property in the online world. Working closely with seasoned marketing professionals and members of the jewelry industry, she honed her skills to understand the impact marketing, trademark, copyright and internet law have on building a brand. Since 2004, Natalie has continued to pursue this field through her own practice and brings that knowledge and experience to you.

Natalie is a frequent speaker and panelist on intellectual property and small business matters. Particularly, she is frequently called upon to speak about Protecting Your Brand Online. She has presented many forums, such as ‘Are you Googling your privacy away?’, ‘Web 2.0: Upgrade your law firm marketing’ and spoken on many panels, including ‘Web marketing and the legal aspects’ and ‘Protecting Your Brand Online’. Natalie has also involved in Pro Bono work through the Legal Counseling Clinic of NYCLA advising in matters of Landlord/Tenant, Bankruptcy, Family Law and Employment as well as Project Restore that offers representation to ex-Felons that have been denied licenses by the Department of State.

Natalie graduated from the University of Manchester at Kiryat Ono, Israel with an LLB. She lives in New York City with her husband and sons.


Benjamin Nahoum, Partner, Sulimani Law Firm P.C., is a general business lawyer. His areas of practice include corporate law, internet law and eCommerce, copyrights and trademarks and general business contracts and negotiations. He has represented both domestic and international clients from many different industries, including internet and new media, technology, entertainment, jewelry, consulting and the arts.

Ben began his legal career in commercial litigation with a number of top international law firms located in New York City. Following this, he served for 10 years in business development at Sullivan & Cromwell. He also has a background in finance and has held positions with Republic National Bank and Deloitte & Touche prior to his career in law.

Combining a strong background in finance, marketing and law, Ben is able to provide well-rounded advice to the many clients of Sulimani Law Firm, many of whom are entrepreneurs and startups, frequently in the technology and general internet industries. He advises clients through all phases of the business cycle from inception through their growth.

Ben graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

Kenneth F. Kozik is a registered patent attorney with experience since 1989 (8 years in-house and 12 years private practice).  Practice includes general IP management in patent matters, antitrust matters, prosecution, appeal, validity and non-infringement opinions.  Areas of patent prosecution practice include computer architecture, networks, sensors, clean technologies, security, energy storage, thermal and optical instrumentation, simple electrical applications, robotics, computer software (e.g., signal processing, data management systems, object-oriented programming systems, operating systems, translation software, communications protocols, e-commerce, Internet, wireless and voice recognition systems), GPS and RFID. Experience in strategic acquisition, enforcement and management of IP assets.  Experience in corporate counseling, antitrust, licensing, due diligence and M&A counseling.

Former Shareholder with Greenberg Traurig and Of Counsel with Fish & Richardson; former principal software engineer with major international corporation.

Trevor McCann is based and practicing in California. He represents and counsels clients in business, intellectual property, employment, and contractual law and other legal fields. Trevor has experience drafting motions, dispositive and discovery papers; including the successful pursuit for adjudication of intellectual property rights concerning the estate of an international entertainment icon.

A trained and practiced litigator, Trevor possesses the skills and experience to take a case to trial. Through years in the legal field, Trevor has also recognized the benefits of a measured approach to legal issues and alternative dispute resolution. Trevor integrates this results-oriented approach into his law practice where he has obtained favorable outcomes for clients while simultaneously avoided costly lawsuits and trials.

Trevor lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.


John de la Rosa helps individuals and, businesses protect their intellectual property as well as help overseas law firms prosecute patents in the United States. John de la Rosa, is a former Bell Labs research & development scientist who has practical experience in telecommunications, photonics, optics, and software development. He especially focuses in representing entrepreneurs.

John S. Morales, Law Clerk

Currently a student at New York Law School, John was formerly an Associate Editor at the International Trademark Association for its law journal, The Trademark Reporter. In addition to that, John worked as an editor on the Criminal, Civil and Immigration line of treatises for West Group. John is focusing his studies in law school on Intellectual Property and plans to practice in this field upon graduation. He expects to graduate in December 2010.
